Corrections Policy
Updated Reviewed
We try hard to keep the site accurate, but mistakes happen. This page explains how to report an error and how we respond to it.
Report an error
Email contactus@wordunscramble.uk with:
- The URL of the page where you saw the problem.
- A short description of what is wrong (a wrong claim, a missing or invalid word, a broken link).
- If you have one, a source we can check against (e.g. the game’s official dictionary).
How we respond
- We aim to acknowledge every report within 2–3 business days.
- Clear, factual errors are fixed the same week whenever possible.
- Larger changes (rewriting a section, updating a dictionary) may take longer; we will tell you when to expect the fix.
- If we disagree with the report, we will explain why rather than ignore it.
How corrections are recorded
When an article is corrected, we update the page’s “Last updated” date. Substantive changes (a claim reversed, a fact replaced) are called out inline at the top of the article so readers can see what changed.
Word-list and dictionary reports
Our word lists are generated from the ENABLE English word list. If a word you expect to see is missing, it is most likely because that word is not in ENABLE. We will confirm this in our reply and, when appropriate, add a note to the relevant list page.
